Steele's Friends

Meet Isaac, Vanessa's little guy and Graham, Erin's little twin. I didn't get a picture with Chase, Graham's twin brother, but it was great to see them both (and their mother) doing so well. I am sure that Steele will be spending a lot of time with these 3 boys!

Steele's First Home

On November 19th your mom put an offer on this cute little townhome in Westminster, Colorado.

Hopefully she will be closing on the house by the end of the December and able to get your nursery ready before your arrival.

Kristi's poem for Steele

I'm bouncing from the ceiling to the walls... into orbit

My heart in full bloom
Just knowing
You’ll be a boy
And someday a man
Raised to be
By the best lady in the land

The things I want to teach you
The things I wish I had learned
My heart is signing
With choirs of hope and joy and giddiness
All over the announcement
That Maria’s going to have a little baby boy!

Flutters from Inside

Flutters, movement, tapping... it is truly one of the most amazing feelings!

"You're going to be a mom! Your journey will have so many beautiful moments. There's the day you find out and each time you share the happy news. There's the first time you hear that little heartbeat and the first time you feel a little flutter from inside. There are times of excitement and worry and joy - all at once!  But more than anything there's the feeling of wonder and amazement, gratitude and love. All of these moments lead up to something amazing - you as a mom." Thank you Amy for such a sweet card!

Baby H September 6th

Baby H's second photo on September 6th showing fingers, legs and everything else that should be there. Mommy and Daddy were pleased to see lots of jumping around, head stands and what looks like sucking his/her thumb in this photo. Daddy hung a picture from this day in his truck and mommy hung the rest in her room. This day made mommy and daddy very excited!

A Little Bit About Your Parents

Your father has been in Colorado since 2007 when he jumped at the chance to move across the country from Minnesota with 2 other close friends. While in Colorado he completed an internship at Mizuna, a top Denver gourmet restaurant. Soon after he wrapped up his degree at Le Cordon Bleu in Culinary Arts where he took courses that helped him not only become a great chef but also strong management skills. For the last 3 years your father is the respected kitchen manager at Bar Louie in South Denver. In addition to managing at the restaurant, your father enjoys playing softball, watching baseball and most of all hunting. Your father will delight in teaching you everything about his favorite hobbies throughout your life.

Your mother has been at The University of Colorado at Boulder since 2005 when she first moved to Colorado to be a Residence Hall Director for 4 years, then an Area Coordinator for 3 years and now in a new role as Assistant Director for Residence Life in Housing and Dining Services. When people ask what she does, she tells them she is in the "business of development".... meaning developing college students through supervision of professional staff and developing systems of support. Before moving to Boulder your mother mostly grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin, a lifestyle that she wishes you could experience at times. After high school she attended The University of Wisconsin - Stout while pursuing a degree in Business Administration she found she had a passion for working with college students. After that she attended Minnesota State University, Mankato for a master’s degree in Counseling and Student Personnel (basically working as a counselor to college students). While doing an internship her last summer in undergrad she told everyone her long-term goal was to a parent.
